Young People and Teenagers
Prices from £60.00
Are by special arrangement, please call for availability. Costs will vary between £80.00 - £100.00 per 50 minute session but may also increase depending on your location.
We may be able to offer a limited amount of slots to people on low incomes, OAP's and the Armed Forces but this does not apply to couples counselling which is charged at the advertised rates. We would require proof of status to enable this. Prices are available on request and are based on assessment of finances and needs. These are very limited slots and are only available during daylight hours, Monday - Friday between 09.00am - 4.00pm. Please note that this is not a guaranteed service and is strictly on a first come first served basis. Please call us if you are unsure or need further information or clarification.
As a minimum, we require a FULL 48 hour notice period to cancel an appointment. This allows us to accommodate any other clients who may need the slot and also saves the counsellor a wasted journey. If you are unable to do this you will be charged for your session. If you are cancelling a Monday appointment, the latest cancellation day would be Thursday as we would be unable to fill any available slots created by cancellations.
Please note: Our services are not available on Bank Holidays.
If you require us to evidence your attendance to Counselling and /or need us to fill in a form to support any requests from other parties there is a charge for this. We cannot provide any psychiatric/medical reports as we are a Counselling Service and not a Psychiatric service.
Cost of short letters/short form filling (max 2 pages) £30.00. Reports and information for legal bodies transcribing clinical notes, witness statements etc.. £60.00 per hour.
The counselling hour normally lasts 50 minutes. This gives us time to ensure that the client is emotionally ready to leave the session and to allow for any other clients arriving, to be seen on time. If you require a longer session, and it is convenient and viable for the counsellor to offer this, there will be an additional cost (normally charged at part of or a whole counselling hour).
We offer both short term and long term sessions (open ended). We appreciate that you might not know in the beginning what your requirements are and therefore are happy to offer flexibility to our clients. There is no commitment on your part to carry on with therapy but we do ask after your first session, to commit to a minimum of six sessions, this will be in your contract when you sign. Thereafter, you can either arrange to keep attending based on open ended sessions that are mutually convenient for both you and your counsellor. You are also free to terminate your contract and in this event, kindly ask that you give at least two weeks notice. Your counsellor will consult with you when both parties mutually feel it is appropriate, to work towards an ending. Working strictly within the guidelines of the BACP Ethical Framework this ensures that both the client and counsellor are prepared for the ending and hopefully, a conclusive outcome.
We kindly ask that you arrive no earlier than your allocated time as this allows for any previous clients to end their session and leave the room which provides a confidential service for all. If you do arrive earlier we will be unable to allow you access into the building as it could be disruptive to a session in progress.
Once you arrive for your session please can you ensure that your mobile phone is either switched off or put on silent, this ensures that you are ready to engage in your therapy and that there are no distractions that could affect the quality and confidentiality of our service.
We understand how frustrating it can be if traffic, public transport and any other unavoidable incidents that are out of your control, cause you to arrive late for your therapy session. If you do arrive late or know you will be late, please ring us on the number you have been provided by your counsellor. It may be that you will have to leave a message and we kindly ask that you do this if your call cannot be answered. In the event that you do arrive late unfortunately, we cannot extend your session but whatever remaining time is left of your session will be offered to you. You will however be charged for the full session.
Payment is accepted in cash, or via pre-paid bank transfer, please contact your own therapist for the correct bank account details.
(please note as therapists we do not hold cash on site, so your help in having the right amount of money, would be appreciated!)
